Highway 91 (Israel)

Highway 91 is an east-west highway in northern Israel and the Golan Heights. It extends through the Jordan Rift Valley and the central Golan Heights. It begins in the west at Mahanayim junction with Highway 90, and it ends in the east at Zivan junction near the Israeli settlement Ein Zivan, where it meets Highway 98. The road is 28 km long.

Bnot Ya'akov Bridge

Bnot Ya'akov Bridge is a bridge across the Jordan River on Highway 91, straddling the border between Israel and the Israeli-occupied portion of the Golan Heights. The area around the bridge was settled in antiquity, and a river crossing there, known as Jacob's Ford, served as part of the regional route between central Israel and Syria, along the ancient Via Maris.

Battle of Jacob's Ford

Jerusalem has been and is considered by many to be one of the holiest cities in the world. For this reason, Christians and Muslims fought for control of the Holy City over several centuries. Around 1095, Christians from Europe marched to the Holy Land to retake control of Jerusalem. By 1099, the Crusaders achieved their goal and captured Jerusalem from the Muslims.

Dubrovin Farm

Dubrovin Farm was one of the first farms in the Hulah Valley. It was established by Stanislav Dubrovin (1863–1967) who moved to Ottoman Syria with his family in 1903. Dubrovin left Astrakhan and settled in the north of the country near Yesod HaMa'ala. Dubrovin and his family were Subbotniks, Russian Christians who kept seventh-day Sabbath. After their conversion to Judaism, they took Hebrew names. Stanislav became "Yoav", and his wife became "Rachel".

Mishmar HaYarden

This article is about the existing moshav. For the village destroyed in 1948, see Mishmar HaYarden (moshava). Mishmar HaYarden is a moshav in the Upper Galilee in northern Israel. It belongs to the Mevo'ot HaHermon Regional Council. It is located on Highway 91 between Mahanayim and Gadot. It was founded in the 1950s. It was named after Mishmar HaYarden (moshava), a destroyed settlement far away from this moshav, and unrelated to it.
