Tajik Agrarian University (TAU) "named after Shirinsho Shotemur" (Донишгоҳи аграрии Тоҹикистон) is a university in Tajikistan. It is located in Dushanbe. In 1931, the Central Asian Fruit-and-Vegetable Institute was founded in the city of Khujand. In 1934 the institute was reorganized and renamed into the Tajik Agricultural Institute. The Dushanbe Flagpole is a flagpole located in front of the Palace of Nations in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. It is the tallest free-standing flagpole in the world, at a height of 165 m, beating the 162 m National Flagpole in Azerbaijan and the 133 m Ashgabat Flagpole at Turkmenistan. The flagpole flies a 700 kg, 30 × 60 metre Flag of Tajikistan.
