St. John's University of Tanzania

St. John's University of Tanzania (SJUT) is located in Dodoma, Tanzania. It was established in 2007 and is run by the Anglican Church of Tanzania. The university has more than 3000 students and offers degrees in business administration, education, nursing, pharmacy and theology. The Right Rev. Dodoma

Dodoma (literally "It has sunk" in Gogo), officially Dodoma Urban District, population 324,347 (2002 census), is the national capital of Tanzania, and the capital of the Dodoma region. In 1973, plans were made to move the capital to Dodoma. Tanzania's National Assembly moved there in February 1996, but many government offices remain in the previous national capital, Dar es Salaam, which remains the commercial capital.

Dodoma Rural is one of the 5 districts of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the North by the Kondoa District, to the East by the Kongwa District, to the South by the Dodoma Urban District and to the West by the Singida Region. According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the population of the Dodoma Rural District was 440,565.
