Depienne Airfield

Depienne Airfield is a World War II airfield in Tunisia, located approximately 12 km northeast of El Fahs, and 53 km southwest of Tunis. The airfield was first used by the German Luftwaffe in 1941 and 1942, and was captured by the British Army by a parachute attack on 3 December 1942. It was later used by the United States Army Air Force Twelfth Air Force as a B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber airfield during the North African Campaign.

Borj El Amri

Borj El Amri or Bordj El Amri is a town in the Manouba Governorate of Tunisia. It located 30 kilometres southwest of Tunis. The Borj El Amri municipality contains 5,556 inhabitants and is the main town of the Borj El Amri delegation which has 16,184 inhabitants. It was created by decree of the Bey of Tunis in 1904. At that time it was known as Massicault in honor of Justin Massicault, the Resident General of France in Tunisia from 1886 to 1892.
