Damar (meaning mineral ore) is a town in Murgul district of Artvin Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:41|14|N|41|35|E||| | |name= }} it is just at the south east of Murgul . The population of the town is 1233 as of 2011. The town was once a district center. But in 1950 its status was reduced to a township. Damar is a mining town and is one of the main producers of copper in Turkey.
