Antandrus

Antandrus was a Greek city on the north side of the Gulf of Adramyttium in the Troad region of Anatolia. Its surrounding territory was known in Greek as Ἀντανδρία (Antandria), and included the towns of Aspaneus on the coast and Astyra to the east. It has been located on Devren hill between the modern village of Avcılar and the town of Altınoluk in the Edremit district of Balıkesir province, Turkey.

Akçay

Akçay is a municipality in the Edremit district of Balıkesir Province in western Turkey. It is located in the Edremit Bay at the coast of north-eastern Aegean Sea, across the Greek island Mitilini. Akçay is 10 km west of Edremit on the highway D560 (E-87) to Altınoluk. With its long beach and clear sea, it is a highly popular summer resort for domestic tourists. Its population grows around 10-fold in the summer season.

Balıkesir Koca Seyit Airport, previously known as Balıkesir Edremit Körfez Airport, is an airport located south of Edremit in the Balıkesir Province of Turkey. The airport's name was changed to Balıkesir Koca Seyit Airport in July 2012 by the Turkish Government.
