1967 Mudurnu earthquake

The 1967 Mudurnu earthquake or more correctly, the 1967 Mudurnu Valley earthquake occurred at about 16:57 GMT on July 22, 1967, near Mudurnu, Bolu Province, north-western Turkey. The earthquake was one of a series of major and intermediate quakes that have occurred in modern times along the North Anatolian Fault since 1939. Although the Mudurnu Valley earthquake was relatively strong, there were only 86 fatalities, with 332 people injured.

Beyköy, Düzce

As of 2011 the population of the town was 4510 as of 2011. According to mayor’s page the population of the town is mostly composed of refuges from Balkan countries and Caucasus as well as people from East Black Sea provinces of Turkey. In 1991 The settlement was declared a seat of township.

Taşkesti

Taşkesti is a town in Mudurnu district of Bolu Province, Turkey. It is situated at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|34|N|31|00|E||| | |name= }} in dense forestry. It is on a tributary of Sakarya River and Turkish state highway D.140 from west to Mudurnu. The distance to Mudurnu is 35 kilometres and to Bolu is 85 kilometres . The population of Taşkesti is 1,456 as of 2011. as of 2011. The area around Taşkesti was populated during Phrygian Kingdom of the antiquity.
