Rajo, Syria

Rajo or Radjou is a town in Afrin District, Aleppo Governorate, northwestern Syria. Rajo is the centre of a sub-district of the same name with approximately 65 villages and farms around it. The town has around 4,000 inhabitants while the total population of the sub-district is 21,955 (2004 official census). Rajo is an old settlement that lies on the Baylan plateau to the west of Kurd Mountain. The name Rajo originated from an old Kurdish family of the same name of the trunk Schaykh(k)an.

Nur Mountains

The Nur Mountains (Turkish: Nur Dağları, "Mountains of Holy Light"), also known as Gâvur Mountains, the ancient Amanus, is a mountain range in the Hatay Province of south-central Turkey, which runs roughly parallel to the Gulf of İskenderun. The range reaches a maximum elevation of 2,240 m and divides the coastal region of Cilicia from inland Syria. The highest peak is Bozdağ. A major pass through the mountains known as the Syrian Gates is located near the town of Belen.

Yeşilyurt, Gaziantep

Yeşilyurt is a town in Islahiye district of Gaziantep Province, Turkey. The town which is situated at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:36|54|N|36|34|E||| | |name= }} is on Turkish state highway D.825 which connects Antakya to Kahramanmaraş. It is 17 kilometres south of Islahiye. Distance to Gaziantep is 110 kilometres . The population of Yeşilyurt is 3665 as of 2011. The town was founded in 1991 as a result of merging three villages named Dolan, Yenioba and Alagöz.
