Günlüce, Ödemiş

Günlüce is a village in Ödemiş district of İzmir Province, Turkey. It is at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:38|17|N|27|57|E||| | |name= }}. It is situated to the north of Ödemiş. Distance to Ödemiş is 5 kilometres and to İzmir is 118 kilometres . The population of Günlüce is 1491. as of 2011. The ruins of Lydian city of Hypaepa are to the north of the town. During the Seljuks and Ottoman era, the present settlement was known as Dağdibi or Dadbey.

Birgi

Birgi is a small town located in the Ödemiş district of İzmir province in Turkey. Its current name is a distortion of its ancient Greek name: Pyrgion . The town rose to prominence when it was made the capital of the beylik of Aydin in 1308, and subsequently incorporated into the Ottoman Empire in 1390.

Sardis Synagogue

Sardis Synagogue is a synagogue located in the province of Manisa Turkey. Sardis was under numerous foreign rulers until its incorporation into the Roman Empire in 133 BCE. The city served then as the administrative center of the Roman province of Lydia. Sardis was reconstructed after the catastrophic earthquake of 17 CE, and it enjoyed a long period of prosperity under the Roman rule.
