Akdamar Island

Akdamar Island, also known as Aghtamar or Akhtamar, is the second by size of four islands in Lake Van in the south of Eastern Anatolia Region, Turkey, about 0.7 km in size, situated about 3 km from the shoreline. At the western end of the island a hard, grey, limestone cliff rises 80 m above the lake's level (1,912 m above sea level). The island declines to the east to a level site where a spring provides ample water.

Sevan Island

Sevan Island (Armenian: Սևանի կղզի Sevani kğzi), now Sevan Peninsula (Armenian: Սևանի թերակղզի Sevani t'erakğzi) was an island in the northwestern part of Lake Sevan in Armenia. After the artificial draining of Lake Sevan, which started in the Joseph Stalin era, the water level fell about 20 metres, and the island transformed into a peninsula. At the southern shore of this newly created peninsula, a guesthouse of the Armenian Writers' Union was built.

Kuş Island

Kuş Island (Turkish: Kuş Adası, literally "Bird Island") or Arter Island, is a small island in Lake Van, Turkey. It is now uninhabited but formerly contained a small Armenian monastery, the ruins of which can still be seen.
