Mezhyhirya Monastery

The Mezhyhirya Savior-Transfiguration Monastery (Ukrainian: Межигірський Спасо-Преображенський монастир, Mezhyhirskyi Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi Monastyr) is an Eastern Orthodox female monastery that was located in the neighborhood of Mezhyhiria. The monastery served as a historic Princely residency of Rurik dynasty during the Medieval times located just 10 kilometres to the north of Vyshhorod. Today, the territory is part of the Vyshhorod Raion, Kiev Oblast in northern Ukraine.

Vyshhorod

Vyshhorod or Vyshgorod is a city in the Kiev Oblast in central Ukraine, the immediate northern suburb to the national capital Kiev, located upstream along the Dnieper River. Population: 27,000 (2011 est. ) Vyshhorod is a historical town that experienced rises and declines over the centuries. It is now the administrative center of the Vyshhorodskyi Raion, a notable industrial center as well as a growing bedroom community for Kiev.

Pushcha-Vodytsia

Pushcha-Vodytsia is a historic neighbourhood and climate resort in the northwestern part of Kiev. Located within a dense forest and away from the urban Kiev, it is known for number of sanatoriums and state cottages for government officials such as presidents, prime-ministers etc. The southern border of the neighborhood is considered Hostomelske shose (Hostomel Highway), the eastern – Minsky prospekt (Minsk Parkway), the western – the road to the village of Moshchun, Kiev-Sviatoshyn Raion.

Obolon Arena

Obolon Arena is football stadium in the city of Kiev, Ukraine. It is the home ground of FC Obolon Kyiv. The stadium is located in the northern fringes of the city, close to the Kiev Metro railway station Heroiv Dnipra. The stadium was opened in October 2002 with a Ukraine Premier League game which saw Obolon play against Kryvbas. In late 2006 construction began on the northern stand and the work was completed in the summer of 2008. This stand added 3,000 additional seats.

Heroiv Dnipra (Kiev Metro)

Heroiv Dnipra is a station on Kiev Metro's Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska Line. The station was opened on November 6, 1982 in the Obolonskyi Raion of Kiev and was designed by G.D. Andreev. The Metro station is named after the street directly above it. The station is closer to the surface than a lot of other Metro stations. The platform has a central hall with brown square columns. The walls are adorned with white and yellow marble, and the floor is red granite.
