Syrets (Kiev Metro)

Syrets is a Kiev Metro station on the Syretsko-Pecherska Line. Opened in 2004, it is the present northwestern terminus. Traditionally all of the Metro stations in Kiev were built in several stages including a few stations each (sometimes delivered in various segments). The Syretsky radius was originally started in early 1990s, in the midst of economic hardships and as a result, not only was it many years behind schedule it was also very slow to open new stations.

Dorohozhychi (Kiev Metro)

Dorohozhychi is a Kiev Metro station on the Syretsko-Pecherska Line. Opened on 30 March 2000, the station represents the second extension of the Syretsky radius to the northwest. The station, desined by architects V. Gnevyshev, N. Aloshkin and T. Tselikovska presents itself as a deep-level pylon trivault. In the design, the shape of the vaults is made dominant, by continuing their curvature all the way to the floor level.

Babi Yar

Babi Yar (Russian: Бабий Яр; Ukrainian: Бабин Яр, Babyn Yar) is a ravine in the Ukrainian capital Kiev and a site of a series of massacres carried out by the Nazis during their campaign against the Soviet Union. The most notorious and the best documented of these massacres took place on September 29–30, 1941, wherein 33,771 Jews were killed in a single operation.

St. Cyril's Monastery

St. Cyril's Monastery is a medieval monastery in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The monastery contains the famous St. Cyril's Church, an important specimen of Kievan Rus' architecture of the 12th century, and combining elements of the 17th and 19th centuries. However, being largely Ukrainian Baroque on the outside, the church retains its original Kievan Rus' interior.
