Záhony

Záhony is a town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. It covers an area of 6.97 km and has a population of 4675 people (2005). It is near the Ukrainian border and was part of Ung county before Trianon Treaty. Road and railway border crossings into Ukraine are located here. Tysaashvan is a village located in the Uzhhorod Raion in the Zakarpattia Oblast in western Ukraine. It was known as "Minieralnoye" between 1945-1995. It had a population of 852 according to the 2001 census. 95,7% of the population (815) was Hungarian minority.
