Adlestrop (formerly Titlestrop or Edestrop) is a village and civil parish in the English county of Gloucestershire. It is known as Tedestrop in the Domesday Book. The civil parish also includes the village of Daylesford. In the 2001 census the parish had a population of 153.

Chastleton House

Kingham railway station

Kingham railway station in Oxfordshire, England is between the Oxfordshire village of Kingham and the Gloucestershire village of Bledington, to which it is closer. It is also the closest station to the town of Chipping Norton. The station is on the Cotswold Line and is served by First Great Western trains.

Battle of Stow-on-the-Wold

The Battle of Stow-on-the-Wold took place during the English Civil War. In the Spring of 1646, King Charles I of England was getting ever more desperate to hold the Royalist cause together whilst waiting for the long promised relief forces from Ireland, Scotland and France. Sir Jacob Astley took command of the Royalist forces in the west and began to gather up the remnants from the handful of Royalist garrisons still left in the west. At this point in the war, Royalist morale was low.

Barton-on-the-Heath

Barton-on-the-Heath is a village and civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 85. The village is in the extreme south of Warwickshire, close to the borders with Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. There is a church, dedicated to St Lawrence. Robert Dover, organizer of the Cotswold Olimpick games, died at Shirley Farm, Barton in July 1652.
