Vixen 101

Vixen 101 (or Vixen 87 as it was originally known) is a community radio organisation based in the town of Market Weighton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The station has transmitted several Restricted Service Licence 28 day broadcasts and on 20 December 2007 was awarded a five year community radio licence for the area. The station then began permanent broadcasting on 10 January 2009 on the frequency of 101.8 FM.

Houghton Hall, East Riding of Yorkshire

Houghton Hall is a stately home in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, set in 5,800 acres . Located on the estate is the village of Sancton. The hall is a Grade I listed building. It was built c.1765-8 by Thomas Atkinson for Philip Langdale and remodelled in 1960 by Francis Johnson. It is built in pink brick with stone dressing and slate roof, with a two-storey, 5-bay main block.

Dalton Hall (Beverley)

Dalton Hall is a grade II* listed Georgian country house in Dalton Holme, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is constructed of grey brick with stone dressing and a slate roof. The main block is built in three storeys with a five-bay frontage and single storey flanking wings linking to one and two-storey pavilions.

Kiplingcotes Derby

Kiplingcotes Derby is widely accepted to be the oldest annual horse race in the English sporting calendar. It reputedly began in 1519 and takes place on the third Thursday in March, often in exceptionally adverse weather conditions. The 490th race was held on 19 March 2009, the 2010 event took place on 18 March, the 2011 event on 17 March, the 2012 race on 15 March and the 2013 race on 21 March 2013.

Harthill Wapentake

Harthill was a wapentake of the historic East Riding of Yorkshire, England consisting of the central part of the county. Established in medieval times, it ceased to have much significance in the 19th century when the wapentakes were superseded by other administrative divisions for most local government purposes. Because of its large area it was sub-divided into four divisions—Bainton Beacon Division, Holme Beacon Division, Hunsley Beacon Division and Wilton Beacon Division.
