Cast Iron Shore

Cast Iron Shore (colloquially known as 'The Cazzy') was a name given to the banks of the Mersey in south Liverpool due to the presence of an iron foundry. St Michael's Church, opened in 1815, was known as the Cast Iron Church because of the extensive use of cast iron in its construction. Cast Iron Shore is mentioned in The Beatles' song "Glass Onion". Liverpool poet, Justine Tennant, also mentions the Cast Iron Shore in her poem Norra Lorra Otters.

Toxteth Unitarian Chapel

Toxteth Unitarian Chapel is in Park Road, Dingle, Liverpool, England. Since the 1830s it has been known as The Ancient Chapel of Toxteth. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building, and continues to be in use as a Unitarian chapel. It is a member of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the umbrella organisation for British Unitarians.

Liverpool Overhead Railway Southern Extension Tunnel

The Liverpool Overhead Railway Southern Extension Tunnel stretches for half a mile from Herculaneum Dock to Dingle railway station, on the Liverpool Overhead Railway. It is now disused, the former station now being a garage. The tunnel may be unique in that is leads to an underground station on what was an overhead railway. It was not that the line was inclined downward into the ground but it intersected a hill.

Norwegian Fishermans’ Church in Liverpool, England, is one of 29 churches organised by Sjømannskirken (Norwegian Church Abroad), a voluntary organisation serving the religious needs of Norwegians abroad on behalf of the Church of Norway. Herculaneum Dock

Herculaneum Dock was part of the Port of Liverpool in Liverpool, England. It was situated at the southern end of the Liverpool dock system, on the River Mersey. To the north it was connected to Harrington Dock. The dock was named after the Herculaneum Pottery Company that had occupied the site before. From 1767, a tidal basin in the area that would become the dock was used for unloading copper for a smelting works. Between 1794 and 1841 it was the site of a pottery.
