A616 road

The A616 is a road which links Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, to the M1 motorway at Junction 30, then reappears at Junction 35A and goes on to Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The road was originally ran continuously from Newark to Huddersfield, via Sheffield city centre. The section of route between the M1 Junction 30 and Sheffield was re-numbered A6135, and the route north-west of Sheffield largely renumbered the A6102.

Newark Castle railway station

|} Newark Castle railway station serves the town of Newark in Nottinghamshire, England. It was built in 1846 for the Midland Railway in the Italianate style. It is on the Nottingham to Lincoln Line, owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Trains (EMT) Train Operating Company (TOC) who provide all services. Its name comes from the nearby castle. The other station in Newark is Newark North Gate. Trains run hourly towards Lincoln eastbound, and Leicester westbound.

River Devon, Nottinghamshire

The River Devon is a tributary of the River Trent, which rises in Leicestershire and joins the Trent at Newark in Nottinghamshire, England. In its upper reaches, it supplies Knipton Reservoir, which was built to supply water to the Grantham Canal, and Belvoir Lakes, designed by Capability Brown. It passes under the Grantham Canal, and then through Bottesford, where it is spanned by five railway bridges, only one of which is still used for its original purpose.
