Lees Urban District

Lees (or Lees Urban District) was from 1894 to 1974, a local government district in the administrative county of Lancashire, England. It was created an urban district in 1894 by the Local Government Act 1894 and included the civil parish of Lees and part of the Crossbank hamlet. It was an exclave of the administrative county of Lancaster, being bordered to the west by the county borough of Oldham, and to the east by the West Riding of Yorkshire.

Alexandra Park, Oldham

Alexandra Park is a public park in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. It was created in response to the Lancashire Cotton Famine of 1861–1865 as an attempt to keep local textile workers employed. The park is located in the Glodwick area of Oldham. Oldham was hit hard by the Lancashire Cotton Famine of 1861–1865 when supplies of raw cotton from the United States were cut off.

Park Bridge railway station

Park Bridge Railway Station was on the line from Oldham to Ashton-under-Lyne, from 1861 until closure of the passenger service in May 1959. The station was located adjacent to the south side of the viaduct at Park Bridge. The line remained in use for goods traffic until 1967, when the entire route was closed. Strinesdale Reservoir

Strinesdale is a reservoir situated on the A62 between Oldham and Delph in Greater Manchester, England. The town of Rochdale is to the north and the town of Oldham to the south. Strinesdale is an area of water and woodland covering approximately 40 acres (162,000 m²). In 1991, the reservoirs were drained and replaced by two smaller lakes with the old reservoir sites being planted with trees and grassland.
