Ramsgreave

Ramsgreave is a civil parish in the Ribble Valley district of Lancashire, England. The parish is located on the northern edge of Blackburn although it is just outside the Blackburn with Darwen unitary district, and although the south and east of the parish is suburban, the parish also includes a rural area. It is served by Ramsgreave and Wilpshire railway station. A former Roman road, between Manchester and Ribchester, passed through the parish.

Samlesbury Hall

Samlesbury Hall is an historic house in Samlesbury, Lancashire, England, some 10 km (6 miles) east of Preston. It was built in 1325 by Gilbert de Southworth (b. 1270) and was the primary home of the Southworth Family until the early 1600s. Samlesbury Hall was built possibly to replace an earlier building destroyed during a raid by the Scots in 1322.

Corporation Park, Blackburn

Corporation Park is a traditional Victorian park in Blackburn, Lancashire, England. It was landscaped by William Henderson and opened in 1857. Corporation Park is regarded as the main formal park in Blackburn and is used mainly by local people for general recreation, walking and dog walking, as well as for its tennis, bowling and football facilities.

Witton Country Park

Witton Country Park is a 480 acre (1.9 km²) public park in the west of Blackburn, Lancashire. Around half of the park is mixed woodland and parkland, while the rest is either farmland or rough grassland with open access. A visitors' centre features stables with exhibitions of old horse-drawn farm machinery, farm hand-tools and a natural history room. A mammal centre houses shrews, voles, ferrets, rabbits and other animals, which are on display.

Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School (QEGS) is a co-educational independent school in Blackburn, Lancashire, England.
