Marwell Wildlife

Marwell Wildlife, formerly known as Marwell Zoological Park, is a 140-acre zoo and registered charity situated at Owslebury near Winchester, in the English county of Hampshire. It is home to over 1,200 animals of 235 different species, and in 2007 was voted by Hampshire residents in an online poll as the place they were most proud of. Beyond the park itself, the charity works for international conservation, with a particular focus in Africa in addition to work from its base in Hampshire.

King's Way

King's Way or the Allan King Way is a 45 mile long-distance footpath in Hampshire, England. This footpath was created by the Hampshire Area of the Ramblers' Association as a memorial to the late Allan King a former Publicity Officer who was partly responsible for the formation of a number of Groups in Hampshire. It runs from Portchester to Winchester. The footpath is waymarked by metal and plastic disks found attached to wooden and metal posts, trees and street furniture.

INTECH

INTECH is an internationally renowned educational resource centre for science situated in Morn Hill, just outside the city of Winchester in the United Kingdom. Opened in 2002 after major grants from amongst others the Millennium Commission, IBM, SEEDA and Hampshire County Council it replaced an existing facility in a more functional building in Winchester. The hands-on exhibition houses over 100 activities.

Hospital of St Cross

The Hospital of St Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty is a medieval almshouse in Winchester, Hampshire, England, founded between 1133 and 1136. It is the oldest charitable institution in the United Kingdom. The founder was Henry de Blois, Bishop of Winchester, grandson of William the Conqueror, half brother to King Stephen of England.
