Southwick Ship Canal

The Southwick Ship Canal or Southwick Canal is a canal in Southwick England that branches off from the estuary of the River Adur near Hove. The canal is 1.75 miles in length, running east-west and parallel with the shoreline, providing facilities to the port of Shoreham. It can accommodate craft with a draught of 15 feet, beam (width) of 40 feet and length of 240 feet.

St Leonard's Church, Aldrington

St Leonard's Church is an Anglican church in Hove, in the English city of Brighton and Hove. It is on New Church Road in the Aldrington area of Hove, which was previously a separate village, and it serves as Aldrington's parish church. The church was on Church Road but now stands on New Church Road, renamed in reference to the other church which was started in 1894.

Portslade railway station

Portslade railway station (in full, Portslade & West Hove station) is a railway station serving the town of Portslade-by-Sea in East Sussex, England, but located on the western fringes of the village of Aldrington (a part commonly known as 'West Hove').

Southwick F.C

Southwick F.C. is a football club based in Southwick, West Sussex, England. It was founded in 1882 and was among the founding members of the Sussex County League. It has won the Sussex County League title six times in its history. Southwick play in red and black stripes with black shorts and socks. They enjoy a fierce, if good natured, rivalry with near neighbours Mile Oak FC.

Shoreham Power Station

Shoreham Power Station is a 420MWe combined cycle gas-fired power station in Southwick, West Sussex. It was built on the site of the Brighton B Power Station. Predating both the former Brighton A & B stations, the town of Brighton has a long history of association with the Electricity Supply Industry. At 106 metres tall, the power station is the tallest structure in West Sussex.
