River Mourne

The River Mourne is a river in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, and is a tributary of the River Foyle. At Strabane it joins with the River Finn to form the River Foyle. Fishing is largely for salmon, grilse and sea trout. The traditional folk song The Moorlough Shore (also called The Maid of Mourne Shore) refers to names and places along the river.

Lifford Bridge

Lifford Bridge (in Irish Droichead Leifear) is a cross-border bridge on the A38 connecting with the N15, spanning the River Foyle which marks the border between Strabane in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, and Lifford in County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. The present bridge was constructed by engineering company McAlpines in 1964, jointly funded by Donegal County Council and the old Tyrone County Council.

Strabane Sigersons GAC

Strabane Sigersons (Irish: An Srath Bán Mhic Sioghair) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club. The club is based in the town of Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The club concentrates on Gaelic football activities while a club called Sigersons Ladies GFC provides for Ladies Gaelic football. Another club in the town is Shamrocks, which fields teams for the games of Hurling and Camogie.

Harry Avery's Castle

Harry Avery's Castle is situated half a mile south-west of Newtownstewart, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. On a hill, ruined Harry Avery's Castle, is a 14th century Gaelic stone castle - most unusual in Ulster. The castle consisted of a two-storey rectangular construction fronted by the massive D-shaped twin towers of the keep which remain. It was possibly built by Henry Aimbreidh O' Neil (Harry Avery O'Neill) (died 1392), and certainly named after him.
