Strome Castle

Strome Castle is a ruined castle on the shore of Loch Carron in Stromemore, 3.5 miles south-west of the village of Lochcarron, on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. Originally built by the Macdonald Earls of Ross. Later in 1472 the castle was owned by the Clan MacDonald of Lochalsh and Alan MacDonald Dubh, 12th Chief of the Clan Cameron was constable on behalf of the MacDonalds of Lochalsh.

Bad a' Chreamha

Bad a' Chreamha is a small hill in Scotland, occupying the broad peninsula between Loch Carron and Loch Kishorn. It consists of a long low ridge: the northwestern side is marked by a series of broken crags, whilst to the south the hill slopes down to the shores of Loch Carron. Bad a' Chreamha may be climbed from the path between Achintraid and Reraig, which passes to the west side of the hill, below the crags.

Loch Achaidh na h-Inich

Loch Achaidh na h-Inich is a freshwater loch in Scotland, located around 3km south-south-east of Plockton, 2km east of Duirinish, 2km north-north-east of Balmacara, and half a kilometre south-east of Loch Lundie. It is host to a small Crannog in the northern end of the loch, and is a common hiking destination from Balmacara.

Loch Carron

Loch Carron is a sea loch on the west coast of Ross and Cromarty in the Scottish Highlands. It is the point at which the River Carron enters the North Atlantic Ocean. According to the marine charts, the tidal currents reach 3 knots in the narrows, although there is little visible water disturbance from the flow. At the narrows, the depth of water is less than 20 metres, but in the basins on either sides it extends to a depth of more than 100 m. http://www. divemagazine. co. uk/news/article.

West Highland College (Scottish Gaelic: Colaiste na Gàidhealtachd an Iar) is a college of further and higher education in the West Highlands of Scotland.
