Battle of Tippermuir

The Battle of Tippermuir (1 September 1644) was the first battle James Graham, 1st Marquess of Montrose fought for the king during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. The battlefield is currently under research to be inventoried and protected by Historic Scotland under the Scottish Historical Environment Policy of 2009. The main objective of the battle was the reclamation of Perth. Montrose had joined forces with Alaster M'Coll Keitach (known as Alasdair MacColla McDonald) and his Irish soldiers.

Broxden Junction

Broxden Junction (or Broxden Roundabout) is one of the busier and more important road junctions in Scotland. It is located on the outskirts of Perth. The roundabout is an important hub of the Scottish road network, a major junction on the A9 north-south route, and the UK's northernmost motorway junction, being junction 12 of the M90 motorway.
