Seafield, Edinburgh

Seafield is an area in north east Edinburgh, Scotland. There is little housing here, and the area is mainly light industrial. Several cream processing plants are in the southern precincts. There have been plans to move the city waste processing unit here from Broughton. There is a large dog and cat home which is renowned as having modern facilities and houses around 150 cats and dogs. The Eastern General Hospital was based here until being demolished in 2008.

Union Canal (Scotland)

The Union Canal is a canal in Scotland, running from Falkirk to Edinburgh, constructed to bring minerals, especially coal, to the capital. It was opened in 1822 and was initially successful, but the construction of railways, particularly the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway, opened in 1842, diminished its value as a transport medium. It fell into slow commercial decline and became disused in the 1930s.

Easter Road is a football stadium located in the Leith area of Edinburgh, Scotland, which is the home ground of Scottish Premier League club Hibernian (Hibs). The stadium currently has an all-seated capacity of 20,421, which makes it the fifth-largest football stadium in Scotland. Easter Road is also known by Hibs fans as "The Holy Ground" or "The Leith San Siro".
