Bow Castle Broch

Bow Castle Broch is a broch near the Gala Water, in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland, in the parish of Stow, and formerly in Midlothian. The broch is one of only three remaining in the Borders; the other two are at Torwoodlee, Galashiels, and Edin's Hall, Abbey St Bathans.

Buckholm

Buckholm is a farm near to the A7, in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland. Places nearby include Abbotsford, the Bow Castle Broch, Clovenfords, Darnick, Eildon, the Gala Water, the Lugate Water, and Stow. Buckholm Tower was built in 1582 by the Pringle family and is at the foot of Buckholm Hill.

Oxton, Scottish Borders

Oxton is a rural village in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland, just off the A68. The royal burgh of Lauder is 4.5 miles to the south of the village. Oxton is an ideal base from which to explore Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. We are 25 miles south east of the centre of Edinburgh, yet in a quiet rural position in which to fully appreciate the beauty of the Scottish Borders.

Mossilee

Mossilee is a cricket ground in Galashiels, Scotland. Established prior to 1899, the first recorded match held on the ground was a first-class match between Scotland and the touring Indians in 1911. The three-day match between the sides ended in a draw. The only other recorded match held on the ground came in 1927 when the South of Scotland played the touring New Zealanders. The ground is still in use to this day.
