Bieldside

Bieldside is a suburb to the west of Aberdeen, Scotland, together with its neighbouring village of Cults is the wealthiest area in Scotland. It has one pub/restaurant The Bieldside, a foodstore, a hairdresser, a children's shoe shop and a charity shop. The Old Deeside railway line passes through Bieldside and Queen Victoria would often stop at Bieldside on her regular journeys between her summer retreat at Balmoral and the city centre.

Macaulay Institute

The Macaulay Land Use Research Institute (also known as the Macaulay Institute and sometimes referred to simply as The Macaulay) was a research institute based at Aberdeen in Scotland, now part of the James Hutton Institute. Its work covers aspects such as landscape, soil and water conservation and climate change. Founded in 1930, the Macaulay Institute is an international centre for research and consultancy on the environmental and social consequences of rural land uses.

Hazlehead Park

Hazlehead Park is a large public park in the Hazlehead area of Aberdeen, Scotland. 180 hectares in size, it was opened to the public in 1920, having formerly been the estate of Hazlehead House, home of William Rose, shipbuilder. A large, heavily wooded park on the outskirts of the city, it is popular with walkers on the many tracks through forests; sports enthusiasts (particularly mountain bikers); naturalists; and picnickers.
