Jordan Lake (Alabama)

Jordan Lake is a lake in Elmore County, Alabama. The closest town is Wetumpka. Jordan Lake is a reservoir with a water surface of 6,800 acres (28 km²), shoreline of about 188 miles, a total length of 18 miles, and a maximum storage volume of 236,200 acre-feet. It is a recreational lake with fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, spotted bass, bluegill and other sunfish, crappie, catfish, striped bass, hybrid and white bass. It was the location of the 2004 Bass Masters Classic Tournament.

Walter Bouldin Dam

Walter Bouldin Dam is a dam in Elmore County, Alabama. The closest town is Wetumpka. The earthen dam was constructed in 1967 by the Alabama Power Company, with a height of 170 feet, and a length of 11,178 feet at its crest. It impounds the Coosa River for 225 MW of hydroelectric power, the last and largest of Alabama Power's string of seven hydropower facilities on that river. It's also the largest of all Alabama Power hydropower facilities.

J. F. Ingram State Technical College

J. F. Ingram State Technical College (ISTC) is a community college in Deatsville, Alabama. As of the Fall 2010 semester, ISTC has an enrollment of 543 students. The college was founded in 1965 and was named for John Fred Ingram, director of Alabama's vocational education program from 1957 until 1969.
