Knik River is a census-designated place (CDP) in Matanuska-Susitna Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is part of the Anchorage, Alaska Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 744 at the 2010 census. The region is mostly famous for being the home of Robert Hansen, a serial killer who murdered at least 17 prostitutes in the early 1980s.

Alaska Raceway Park

Alaska Raceway Park is a 1/4 mile IHRA dragstrip conducting summertime races from April to mid-September near "the Butte" a few miles south of Palmer, Alaska. Located near the Knik River and Knik Glacier at Mile 10.4 of the Old Glenn Highway, it is about 40 minutes away from Anchorage, Alaska.
