Rose Pauson House

The Rose Pauson House in Phoenix, Arizona was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1939 and built 1940 -1942. In 1943 the house burned down when a fallen ember from the fireplace ignited a hand-woven curtain on a nearby window. All that remained was the ruins of the foundation and walls. The ruins became a local landmark known as "Shiprock" due to their prominent shape and location. The building was located on a hillock on the present alignment of 32nd Street.

Arizona Canal

The Arizona Canal is a major canal in central Maricopa County that led to the founding of several communities, now among the wealthier neighborhoods of suburban Phoenix, in the late 1880s. Flood irrigation of residential yards is still common in these neighborhoods, using a system of lateral waterways connected via gates to the canal itself. Like most Valley canals, its banks are popular with joggers and bicyclists.

Arcadia High School (Phoenix, Arizona)

Arcadia High School is a public high school located in Phoenix, Arizona. The school enrolls 1,680 who primarily come from feeder schools in the Scottsdale Unified School District. Arcadia completed a significant renovation in the summer of 2008. Since the 2003 school year, Arcadia H.S. has met No Child Left Behind standards, and is labeled "Excelling" by AZ LEARNS, Arizona's standards measurement.
