Havilah is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California. It is located 4 miles south-southeast of Miracle Hot Springs, at an elevation of 3136 feet (956 m). Havilah is located in the mountains along Caliente-Bodfish Road between the Walker Basin and Bodfish. The place name comes from the Biblical story describing Havilah as a place where there is gold.

Kern Canyon Fault

The Kern Canyon Fault is a geological fault which runs the length of Kern Canyon in the southern Sierra Nevada mountains in California. The fault was once considered inactive, but recent studies show the contrary. The fault is a break in the southern section of the Sierra Nevada-Great Valley Block, manifesting differences in the stresses in this region over a period of over 100 million years.

Brown Peak is a peak located in Kern County, California. The peak is located on King Solomons Ridge at the head of Haight Canyon, 2.1 miles southwest of Liebel Peak and 12.5 miles north of Loraine, California in Sequoia National Forest. Brown Peak is named for Charlie Brown, a miner who lived in the area during the early 1900s.
