Port Manatee

Port Manatee is a deepwater seaport located in the eastern Gulf of Mexico at the entrance to Tampa Bay in northern Manatee County, Florida. It is one of Florida's largest deepwater seaports. The port handles a variety of bulk, breakbulk, containerized and heavy-lift project cargoes. Port Manatee is the closest U.S. deepwater seaport to the Panama Canal. It is served by mostly cargo ships, but the Regal Empress cruise ship sailed out of the port until the early 2000s.

Terra Ceia, Florida

Terra Ceia is an unincorporated census-designated place in Manatee County, Florida, United States that includes the 1,932 acres Terra Ceia State Park. It is located on Terra Ceia Island on the Southern shore of Tampa Bay near the intersection of US 19 and I-275, at the southern end of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Little Manatee River

The Little Manatee River flows almost 40 miles, from east of Fort Lonesome, Florida through southern Hillsborough County, Florida and northern Manatee County, Florida into Tampa Bay. It has a drainage basin of 222 square miles . It flows along the Little Manatee River State Park for part of its route. Portions of the river have been designated as an Outstanding Florida Water and are part of the Cockroach Bay Aquatic Preserve.
