Lake Jackson (Georgia)

Jackson Lake is one of the oldest reservoirs in Georgia, 44 miles southeast of Atlanta in a rural area situated within parts of three counties. The Lloyd Shoals Dam was built in 1910 by Central Georgia Power Company, and electricity was originally generated for the city of Macon.

Yellow River (Georgia)

The Yellow River is a 76-mile-long tributary of the Ocmulgee River in the U.S. state Georgia. The river rises north of Lawrenceville in Gwinnett County and flows south through the outer eastern suburbs of Atlanta, passing through the easternmost corner of DeKalb County before entering Rockdale County. Continuing south into Newton County, the river joins the South River in Lake Jackson, 2 miles upstream of the junction of the Alcovy River to form the Ocmulgee River.

Butts County is a county located in the northern half of the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created on December 24, 1825. As of 2010, the population was 23,655. The 2011 Census Estimate showed a population of 23,504. The county seat is Jackson. The center of population of Georgia is an area in the northeastern portion of the county. Butts County has one radio station: WJGA FM 92.1 and one local newspaper, the Jackson Progress-Argus.
