SL-1

The SL-1, or Stationary Low-Power Reactor Number One, was a United States Army experimental nuclear power reactor which underwent a steam explosion and meltdown on January 3, 1961, killing its three operators. The direct cause was the improper withdrawal of the central control rod, responsible for absorbing neutrons in the reactor core. The event is the only known fatal reactor accident in the United States.

KIDK

KIDK is the CBS-affiliated television station for Southeastern Idaho, Southwestern Montana and Northwestern Wyoming that is licensed to Idaho Falls. It broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 36 from a transmitter on East Butte in northern unincorporated Bingham County along the Idaho National Laboratory border. The station can also be seen on Cable One channel 3 and in high definition on digital channel 460.
