Village Links of Glen Ellyn

The Village Links of Glen Ellyn is a public golf course located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The golf course was founded in 1967, the first publicly owned 18-hole golf course in DuPage County, Illinois. It has long been recognized as one of the top golf courses in the Chicago area. It was the annual host course for the PGA Tour's Western Open General Qualifying, having held that event virtually every year from 1980 through 2006.

Morton Arboretum

The Morton Arboretum, in Lisle, Illinois, covers 1,700 acres (6.9 Square kilometres) and is made up of gardens of various plant types and collections of trees from specific taxonomical and geographical areas. It includes native woodlands and a restored Illinois prairie. The Arboretum has over 4,100 different species of trees, shrubs and other woody plants from around the globe. In all, there are over 186,000 catalogued plants.

Chicago Golf Club

Chicago Golf Club is a private golf club in Wheaton, Illinois, in the United States. It is the oldest 18-hole course in North America and was one of the five clubs which founded the United States Golf Association in 1894. Its founder, Charles B. Macdonald, won the first official U.S. Amateur Championship in 1895. History[edit] Macdonald, known as the Father of Golf in Chicago, went to college in Scotland, where he learned to play the game.
