Oswego, Illinois

Oswego is a village in Kendall County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2010 census, the village population was 30,355. Its population has more than doubled since the 2000 census count of 13,326. Oswego is the largest municipality located completely within Kendall County. Oswego was known by many Chicago area residents for the town drag strip open from 1955 until 1979 where custom muscle cars were raced by drivers from all over the mid-west.

Montgomery Dam

The Montgomery Dam is a gravity dam on the Fox River in Montgomery, Illinois. The dam was built for flood control and navigation in 1969 as a part of the The Stratton project dam system which was designed to keep the river navagable from the Wisconsin border to the confluence with the Illinois River. It is owned by Illinois Department Of Natural Resources. The dam is 7 ft high and 325 ft long. It impounds 131 acre feet .

Aurora Country Club

Aurora Country Club is an 18-hole golf course located in Aurora, Illinois. It was founded in 1914. The original clubhouse was a stone farmhouse remodeled. The clubhouse burned down in 1941. Tom Bendelow and William B. Langford collaborated on the 18 hole layout. A. W. Tillinghast provided redesign work in 1935. The course is 6,644 yards from the longest tees, par of 72. The course rating is 72.9 and a slope rating of 133.
