Rutt Branch

The Rutt Branch of the West Fork of the Middle Nodaway River is a stream in Adair County, Iowa. It is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:41.29|-94.63||||||| |primary |name= }}. It is 10.4 miles long. In the Adair County plat book, Rutt Branch is erroneously spelled "Ruit" Branch. It flows mainly through the northeastern part of Jackson township and northwestern part of Summerset township, as well as into Prussia township.

Nodaway Valley High School is rural high school in Greenfield, Adair County Iowa, United States. It is part of the Nodaway Valley Community School District. In 2005 it had 295 students and 26 teachers. 13% were eligible for free lunch, less than the state average of 23%. The Technology department is led by former Teacher of the Year- the outstanding Jane Woodside. Nodaway Valley (Greenfield) has a wrestling teams. They have currently won the sectionals two years in row 2005-2006, 2006-2007.

Greenfield is the county seat of Adair County located in the heart of SW Iowa, south of I-80 on Iowa Hwy 25. The population was 1,982 at the 2010 census. Greenfield is home to four entries on the National Register of Historic Places, the E. E. Warren Opera House listed in 1970; the Adair County Courthouse listed in 1981; the Adair County Democrat/Adair County Free Press bldg, listed 2012; and Hotel Greenfield, listed 2012.
