Southeast Polk Community School District
Southeast Polk Community School District is located east of Des Moines, in southeastern Polk County. The high school and junior high are located in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. The district includes Runnells, Altoona, Mitchellville, parts of Pleasant Hill, Bondurant, Des Moines and surrounding rural areas. The district also stretches into small portions of Jasper and Marion Counties.

KIOA
Kioa is an island in Fiji, an outlier to Vanua Levu, one of Fiji's two main islands. Situated opposite Buca Bay, Kioa was purchased by settlers from Vaitupu atoll in Tuvalu, who came between 1947 and 1983. Despite its relatively large size, Vaitupu became so overcrowded during the 1940s that a number of families migrated to to live on Kioa Island. Neli Lifuka was instrumental in collecting the funds to purchase Kioa.

Iowa Correctional Institution for Women
Iowa Correctional Institution for Women is an Iowa Department of Corrections medium/minimum security prison located in Mitchellville, Iowa. As of 2002 it had some 190 staff and 510 inmates. It has both dormitory style units and celled housing, as well as a "return-to-confinement" facility used for intensive treatment of repeat offenders who violate parole.
