Aberdeen (Amtrak station)

Aberdeen Station is a train station in Aberdeen, Maryland on the Northeast Corridor. It is served by Amtrak's Northeast Regional and the MARC Penn Line. The station was originally built by the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad approximately in 1898, and inherited by the Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington Railroad. The current station is a modern structure built in 1943 by Lester C.

Ripken Stadium

Ripken Stadium is the home of the Aberdeen IronBirds, Class A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles in the New York-Penn League. The stadium is located in Aberdeen, Maryland. The 6,000-seat Ripken Stadium held its first game on June 18, 2002. The team has sold out every home game at Ripken Stadium since it began playing there in 2002. In 2009, The Maryland Redbirds, of the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League,, played all weekday games and one weekend doubleheader at the stadium.
