Bennsville, Maryland

Bennsville (spelled Bensville by the United States Census Bureau) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Charles County, Maryland, United States. The population was 11,923 at the 2010 census. The area is not an official postal designation, but is part of the Waldorf or Pomfret postal area. The Bennsville area is growing with new residential development, encouraged by the extension in the 1990s of Maryland Route 228 which provides quick access to Maryland Route 210.

North Point High School

North Point High School is a school for science, technology, and industry. It is located in the far western area of Waldorf, Maryland, United States. At 311,000 square feet and with about 2,200 students enrolled, it is the largest high school in Charles County. It is also the newest high school, having opened its doors in 2005. Its mascot, the Eagle, was derived from the motto of Charles County, "The wild side of the Potomac... Where eagles soar!"

St. Charles Towne Center

St. Charles Towne Center is a two-level, enclosed shopping in the planned community of St. Charles. Built in 1990, it covers an area of 981,000 sq ft, and is currently the only regional mall in Southern Maryland. In addition to Waldorf and St. Charles, the mall also serves the southern suburbs of Washington, D.C. , and has a trade area population of approximately 311,000. It currently has 6 anchor stores, an AMC theatre (an outparcel), and over 130 other retailers.
