Established in 1925, it was owned by Margaret Emerson Vanderbilt who gave it to her son Alfred G. Vanderbilt II for his twenty-first birthday. Stevenson University is a private, independent, coeducational, liberal arts college that is located in the Greenspring Valley area of Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The University has two campuses, one in Stevenson and one in Owings Mills, with approximately 3,900 undergraduate and graduate students. St. Paul's School is an independent K-12 college-preparatory school in Brooklandville, Maryland (a suburb of Baltimore), located on a 64-acre rural campus in the Green Spring Valley, about ten miles (16 km) north of the city of Baltimore. WCAO is an AM station broadcasting Gospel music in Baltimore, Maryland, owned by Clear Channel Communications. The station's frequency is 600 kHz. During the 1950s through 1970s, this was a major Top 40 station in Baltimore, later switching to a country - oriented format in 1982.
