Mount St. Mary's University

Mount St. Mary's University, also known as The Mount, is a private, liberal arts, Catholic university in the Catoctin Mountains near Emmitsburg, Maryland. It was founded by French émigré Father John DuBois (Père Jean Dubois) in 1808 and is the oldest independent Catholic college in the United States. (It is the second oldest Catholic college in the United States, after Georgetown. ) The school became co-educational in 1972.

Monterey Country Club

Monterey Country Club, built before 1885, is home to one of the oldest golf courses in the United States. The club sits just below the peaks of 1,720 Mt. Dunlap and 1,365 Monterey Peak in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania and is less than one mile (1.6 km) from the Mason-Dixon Line and about 8 miles away from Camp David. The club has served as a summer retreat for many Washingtonians, and has golf, tennis, swimming, dining and clubhouse facilities.
