Golden Beach, Maryland

Golden Beach is a census-designated place (CDP) in St. Mary's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 2,665 at the 2000 census. It consists of a small housing development with a private beach, located within the larger postal designation of Mechanicsville. One resident is popular 1960s romantic recording artist Ronnie Dove.

Aquasco Speedway

Aquasco Speedway, no longer in operation, was the first quarter-mile dragstrip on the United States East Coast. It was built in the mid-1950s and was home to the President's Cup Nationals, which are now held at Maryland International Raceway. Richard Petty, Shirley Muldowney, Don Prudhomme, Bunny Burkett are among some of the great drag racers who raced on the now defunct speedway. To date, the land still exists. Aquasco Speedway sits in Aquasco, Maryland, untouched and unvandalized.

Eagle Harbor, Maryland

Eagle Harbor is a very small incorporated town in the far southeast corner of Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, and near the rural community of Aquasco. Charlotte Hall, Maryland

Charlotte Hall is a census-designated place (CDP) in Charles County and St. Mary's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 1,214 at the 2000 census. The Maryland Veterans Home for disabled veterans, including a U.S. Veterans Affairs clinic, is located on the site of the former Charlotte Hall Military Academy. The Academy site was declared the Charlotte Hall Historic District, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
