Malcolm, Maryland

Malcolm, Maryland is a small community, essentially centered around a five-way intersection in Charles County, Maryland, about 7 miles (11km) east of Waldorf. Horsehead Road, one of the five roads meeting here, was the route traveled by John Wilkes Booth to Dr. Mudd's house after Booth's assassination of Abraham Lincoln. WPRS-FM

WPRS-FM (104.1 FM, "Praise 104.1") is an Urban Gospel formatted radio station in the Washington, D.C. , metropolitan area. The station broadcasts from Waldorf, Maryland, at 104.1 MHz. It is co-owned with WKYS-FM, WMMJ, WOL and WYCB and has studios located in Silver Spring, Maryland. Owned by Radio One, the station began broadcasting on April 7, 2007, as "Praise 104.1". The station was previously owned by Bonneville International.

Aquasco Speedway

Aquasco Speedway, no longer in operation, was the first quarter-mile dragstrip on the United States East Coast. It was built in the mid-1950s and was home to the President's Cup Nationals, which are now held at Maryland International Raceway. Richard Petty, Shirley Muldowney, Don Prudhomme, Bunny Burkett are among some of the great drag racers who raced on the now defunct speedway. To date, the land still exists. Aquasco Speedway sits in Aquasco, Maryland, untouched and unvandalized.
