Rapid River is an unincorporated community in Masonville Township, Delta County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is situated on the northern end of the Little Bay de Noc at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:45|55|37|N|86|58|01|W| | |name= }}, between the mouths of the Tacoosh and Rapid rivers with the mouth of the Whitefish River just to the east. U.S. Highway 2 passes through Rapid River and joins with U.S.

Gladstone, Michigan

Gladstone is a city in Delta County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is also known locally as "Happy Rock", a play on words of Gladstone. First settled in 1877, Gladstone's original name was Saunders Point. The population was 4,973 at the 2010 census. U.S. Highways 2 and 41 run concurrently through the city, connecting with Escanaba, nine miles (14 km) to the south. US 41 runs north to Marquette and US 2 runs east to Manistique.

Delta County, Michigan

Delta County is a county in the Upper peninsula in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 37,069. The county is served by Delta County Airport, to the southwest of Escanaba, the county seat. The county was surveyed in 1843 and organized in 1861. Its name originates from the Greek letter "delta", which refers to the triangular shape of the original county which included segments of Menominee, Dickinson, Iron, and Marquette counties.

Little Bay de Noc

Little Bay de Noc is a bay in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. The bay opens into Lake Michigan's Green Bay. The bay, consisting of approximately 30,000 acres (120 km²), is enclosed by Delta County. The cities of Escanaba and Gladstone are on the west side of the bay. The bay's name comes from the Noquet (or Noc) Native American people (thought to have been related to the Menominee of the Algonquian language group), who once lived along the shores.
