Cannon Falls is a city in Goodhue County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 4,083 at the 2010 census. Located along U.S. Route 52 to the southeast of the Twin Cities, Cannon Falls may be best known as the home of Pachyderm Studio, where many famous musicians have recorded their music. Pachyderm Studio

Pachyderm Recording Studio is a residential recording studio located in rural Cannon Falls, Minnesota, United States, 35.8 mi (57.6 km) southeast of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. It is located in a secluded old-growth forest with a vibrant trout stream. The studio was founded in 1988 by Jim Nickel, Mark Walk and Eric S. Anderson, with acoustic design by Bret Theney of Westlake Audio.

Byllesby Dam (Minnesota)

Byllesby Dam is a dam in Dakota County and Goodhue County, Minnesota in the southern part of the state, just west of the town of Cannon Falls. The 60-foot -high concrete dam was built in 1910 by H.M. Byllesby & Company to impound the Cannon River for hydroelectric power. Byllesby, a former employee of both Edison and Westinghouse, formed what would become Northern States Power in 1909.
