It is, as of the 2010 census, the fifth largest city in the state of North Dakota with a population of 25,830, and it is the state's fastest growing large city. West Fargo was founded in 1926. The city is part of the Fargo-Moorhead, ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area.

West Acres Shopping Center

West Acres Shopping Center is a regional shopping mall located in Fargo, North Dakota near the intersection of Interstates 29 and 94. It is the largest mall in North Dakota and includes four major anchors, nearly 130 stores and services, and a 750 seat food court. The mall is also home to The Roger Maris Museum, a collection of regional art, the Touchstone Energy Dinosaur Playland, and a collection of spearfishing decoys created by the late John Jensen.

Aakers Business College

Aakers College was a private two-year college with campuses in Fargo, North Dakota and Bismarck, North Dakota. In 2007, it merged with Rasmussen College and is now known as Rasmussen College. The school offers associate degrees and bachelor degrees in several fields. Aakers was originally founded in Fargo in 1902 and a second location was opened in Grand Forks, North Dakota in 1905. The Fargo location was sold in 1912 and the Grand Forks location became the only Aakers for decades.

Bonanzaville, USA

Bonanzaville, USA is a history museum complex in West Fargo, North Dakota. Bonanzaville, the museum of the Cass County Historical Society, is made up of forty-seven buildings on 12 acres, many of them are historic and from the region. These buildings have been moved to the museum grounds and now form a village setting. Most of the buildings have a special theme. Displays include a prairie church, a general store, a drug store, a fire station, a jail, and a schoolhouse.

Fargo is the largest city in the U.S. state of North Dakota, accounting for nearly 16% of the state population. Fargo is also the county seat of Cass County. According to the 2010 census, its population was 105,549. Fargo, along with its twin city of Moorhead, Minnesota, as well as adjacent West Fargo, North Dakota and Dilworth, Minnesota, form the core of the Fargo-Moorhead, ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area, which in 2010 contained a population of 212,171.
