W. A. Draves

William August Draves (born "Wilhelm") (12 May 1912 — 28 June 1994) was the founder and an apostle of the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message, a successor to the organization founded by former Church of Christ (Temple Lot) Apostle Otto Fetting. Like Fetting, Draves claimed to have received visits and messages from John the Baptist. Although accepted by many Fettingites, Draves was rejected by portions of the Fettingite leadership, leading him to found his own church in 1939.

Battle of Little Blue River

The Battle of Little Blue River was a minor battle of the American Civil War, occurring on October 21, 1864 in Jackson County, Missouri during Price's Missouri Expedition of that year. It became the opening round of the Second Battle of Independence, which began on this same day and was essentially a continuation of this engagement. This led in turn to the Battle of Westport on October 23, resulting in Price's defeat and the ending of major Confederate military operations in Missouri.

KWJC

KWJC is a campus radio station, located in Liberty, Missouri, at William Jewell College. Its broadcast area covers much of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Prior to a 2003 tornado strike, the radio station was a conventional college radio station, playing alternative music with a broad, eclectic playlist. All disc jockeys were students, many of them in the broadcast technology program. This Station was called "The Edge".

Independence Events Center

The Independence Events Center is a 5,800-seat multi-purpose arena in Independence, Missouri, United States, a suburb of Kansas City. It was opened in November 2009. It currently hosts the home games of the Missouri Mavericks in the Central Hockey League and the Missouri Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League.
