Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort

The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort (LVSSR), also known to locals as Lee Canyon, is located just 35 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. The base lodge is situated at the base of Lee Peak with an elevation of 11,289 feet/3,441 meters to the north of Mount Charleston, the eighth highest peak in Nevada at 11,916 feet/3,632 meters. The resort can be reached via US 95 to Nevada State Route 156.

Las Vegas Air Force Station is a closed United States Air Force General Surveillance Radar station. It is located 26.5 miles west-northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada. It was closed by the Air Force in 1969 and turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The site is now is now data-tied into the Joint Surveillance System (JSS).

KRGT (FM)

KRGT is a commercial radio station located in Indian Springs, Nevada, broadcasting to the Las Vegas, Nevada area on 99.3 FM. KRGT airs a Spanish urban format branded as "La Kalle 99.3". The station signed on in 2000 as KPXG. The station permit had existed for years and had been planned as a 6,000 watt operation. Changes were made to run it as a minimal 100 watt operation. The station was owned by Claire "Reis" Benezra, manager of KDWN radio in its pre Beasley days.

Griffith Peak

Griffith Peak is located in the Spring Mountains in Clark County of southern Nevada. It is approximately 28 miles northwest of the Las Vegas Strip and 3.86 miles southeast of Mount Charleston. Griffith Peak is southern Nevada's third highest, Nevada's 43rd highest peak. It is within Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Mount Charleston Wilderness and Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. Griffith Peak is accessible by two primary trails: the South Loop Trail and the Harris Springs Trail.
