Sybase Classic

The Sybase Classic was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour for twenty years, from 1990 to 2009. The event was originally known as the JAL Big Apple Classic, sponsored by Japan Airlines and presented by GOLF Magazine from 1990 through 2000. The software corporation Sybase began sponsoring the tournament in 2001, when it was renamed the Sybase Big Apple Classic. "Big Apple" was ultimately dropped from the name in 2007 when the tournament relocated from New York to New Jersey.

Clifton is a city in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city had a total population of 84,136, retaining its position as the state's 11th-largest municipality, as the population increased by 5,464 (+6.9%) from the 78,672 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 6,930 (+9.7%) from the 71,742 counted in the 1990 Census.
